This kicks off the beginning of Lyme & Other TBD/Conditions Awareness Month! Proclamations granted by Colorado Governor Jared Polis\, Chaffee County\, City of Salida & Town of Buena Vista! \nWhether you chose to dine in or take out on May 1st….join us in “Biting Back” against Lyme & Other Tick-Borne Diseases/Conditions! Drop by the COTBDAA & Chaffee County Public Health tick-bite prevention education table for resources between 11am-1pm! \n*Monies raised help support the community screenings of the full length feature documentary\, The Quiet Epidemic at Salida Steam Plant Theater\, Planned for May 5\, 2023 & at the Buena Vista\, Stardust Theater on May 10\, 2023.  \nThis alarming full feature documentary gets to the heart of the real impact of a long ignored epidemic\, Lyme disease. The Salida screening will be followed by a discussion with a panel of experts to continue this very important community conversation.  \nYou won’t want to miss the panel discussion following the film with the co-directors\, Winslow Crane-Murdoch & Lindsay Keys Lyme literate doctors that care for patients\, Dr. Julie Barter & Dr. Sharon Austin\, and the advocates\, caregivers and patients impacted.
