The film features a young girl from Brooklyn and a scientist from Duke University both diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease\, a disease said to not exist. What begins as a patient story evolves into an investigation into the history of Lyme disease\, dating back to its discovery in 1975. A paper trail of suppressed scientific research and buried documents reveal why tick-borne diseases have been allowed to quietly spread around the globe. \nMonica White\, President/Co-Founder of Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association will be available for community conversation following the film screening. Light snacks will be served. This event is FREE! No registration necessary. DESCRIPTION:Share this content:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nJoin Us for Lyme & Tick-Borne Diseases Awareness Month Events and Activities with Our Community Partners at Soul Tribe Yoga Collective!\nLyme Disease Awareness Month Meditation Challenge!\nThis challenge is meant to be attainable and accessible all\, including those who are new to meditation. Join Milena from Soul Tribe Yoga Collective on Fridays at 11 AM (MT) to meditate together via Zoom. Each meditation lasts for 25 minutes including a 5-minute guided element followed by 20 minutes of silent meditation with guidance and support. \nLyme & tick-borne disease patients in all time zones\, as well as their caregivers\, friends\, and family\, are welcome to join this challenge. Donations in any amount are accepted however there is no cost to participate. \nMalas for Lyme Disease Awareness Month!\nMilena from Soul Tribe Yoga Collective is hand-making bespoke malas designed in the theme of Lyme Disease Awareness Month for tick-borne disease patients\, caregivers\, advocates\, and other champions in the fight against Lyme disease. All proceeds benefit the Soul Tribe Yoga Scholarship Fund so students experiencing significant financial hardship can access community through yoga. Each mala is made with 108 beautiful gemstone beads complete with a unique guru bead and tassel and can be customized to your preferences. Cost of materials varies based on preferences\, average $40. \nMay 11: Gentle Yoga Gathering\, Virtual & In-Person\nIn collaboration with our community partners at Soul Tribe Yoga\, we will gather on Saturday\, May 11th at 2 PM (MT) for a gentle yoga practice. Don’t miss out on this special event! The class will be an All Levels Gentle Yoga Class with a focus on subtle postures\, intentional movements\, breathwork\, and meditation. \nParticipants based in Northern Colorado are welcome to join the in-person element of this special donation-based yoga class at Full Circle Yoga in Longmont\, CO. **Please note the studio has stairs. Community members based in other parts of the country/world or those without physical accessibility to the in-person event can join the session via Zoom.
