COTBDAA and Colorado Lyme & TBD Support Group co-hosted a face-to-face support group meeting May 4, 2019, 12:00-3:30, at the Sheridan Library in Denver, CO.
This Group Raise Meal was organized by COTBDAA volunteer Milena Pastore at Modern Market Eatery, 1600 28th St #1212, Boulder, CO.

October 1, 2018-Moonlight Monday Fundraiser
Every Monday Moonlight Pizza and BrewPub donates 10% of their total sales for the day to a local organization. COTBDAA was the grateful recipient of Moonlight’s generosity on Monday, October 1, 2018! COTBDAA provided prevention education materials as well as FREE “Tick Check” reminder stickers to all that visited our table!
September 21-22, 2018- LivLyme Summit
Our Community Partners hosted their 1st annual LivLyme Summit in Westminster, Colorado in September 2018! It was an incredibly successful event! COTBDAA exhibited with a resource. Great opportunity to connect with patients, hear the latest on the science and treatment progress and collaborate with others on the resources available and needed to fight these diseases.
June 2, 2018-Get Outdoors Day- Memorial Park
The third annual event was held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the City of Colorado Springs, Mike Johnson Youth Hunting Project and the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance. A variety of outdoor businesses and nonprofit agencies provided activities for the public to try. COTBDAA provided a “Colorado Tick Check” education and prevention booth and special hands on kids prevention activity!

Lyme and Other Tick-Borne Diseases: 3rd Rocky Mountain Forum was held at the PACE Center in Parker, Colorado on May 19, 2018! COTBDAA thanks all of our expert speakers, exhibitors, community partners, sponsors, supporters and volunteers for supporting our best Forum yet! We were able to provide much needed resources to the Rocky Mountains and as always…FREE for the public to attend!

COTBDAA provided a “Colorado Tick Check” Tick-Bite Prevention & Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Booth. The event is located at the Poncha Springs, Town Hall located in Poncha Springs, CO. OUTDOOR ADVENTURE EXPO was held September 23rd & 24th, 2017.
Hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife at Cherry Creek State Park. COTBDAA will be shared tick disease education and prevention for all outdoor enthusiasts as well as a special children’s activity! This exhibit was supported through an education grant from Lyme Disease Association, Inc. and materials generously donated by Insect Shield, Ticknology and Your True Nature! June 2017-Lyme and Other Tick-Borne Diseases: 2nd Rocky Mountain Forum-supported through an educational grant from our affiliate organization Lyme Disease Association, Inc (LDA). This FREE education/awareness event was held at the American Mountaineering Center, Golden, Colorado on June 3rd, 2017. Speakers included President of LDA, Pat Smith; Founder of Partnership for Tick-Borne Diseases Education, Dr. Elizabeth Maloney, Lyme disease expert, Dr. David Martz; President & Laboratory Director of IGeneX, Dr. Jyotsna Shah; and CEO and Founder of Ticknology, Dr. Heather Szerlong. April 29th-30th- Chaffee Home and Garden Show-Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Booth. Chaffee County Fairgrounds, Poncha Springs, Colorado. Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association shared education and prevention information and resources to elevate awareness and provided education and prevention resources to our community. Supporting contributors of this event included members of our network, Chaffee County Public Health, the Lyme Disease Association, Inc., Insect Shield, Your True Nature, and from our generous Salida Community through contributions made through Sellars Project Space-Salida Soup and High Country Bank!

COTBDAA succeeded in the “quest” to raise funds for awareness! We thank Sellars Project Space, High Country Bank and every one of the community members that came out to support our mission. Funds support the COTBDAA Education and Prevention booth at the Chaffee Home and Garden Show, as well as Lyme and other Tick-Borne Disease Awareness efforts in our local community in May 2017. We thank our community for the support to fight the bite through increased awareness!
April 8, 2017- COTBDAA Fundraiser at the Grass Roots Garden Party
Lisa Beaubien, Licensed massage therapist, hosted a fundraiser for COTBDAA at the the Grassroots Garden Party at the new Poncha Springs Town Hall. Lisa provided foot reflexology and COTBDAA provided a Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Awareness booth. COTBDAA appreciates all of the generous donors in our community that visited our table, provided baked goods and supported our organization through Lisa’s healing hands!
May 7, 2016- Lyme & Other Tick-Borne Diseases: 1st Rocky Mountain Forum
Held on May 7, 2016 at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, Colorado, this event was sponsored by the Lyme Disease Association, Inc. (LDA) and hosted by the Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association (COTBDAA), formerly the group Biting Back: Elevating Tick Awareness in Colorado (Monica White and Nancy Wrigley). Video recordings of the Forum are now available! Listen to Drs. Daniel Cameron and David Martz discuss Lyme disease diagnosis and treatment and what it’s personally like to have Lyme, respectively.
