January 21-31: Let’s #MakeLymeLoud, 50 years after Lyme was first recognized in the U.S.
Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, January 21——Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association, The Quiet Epidemic team and our community partners will launch a 10-day letter-writing campaign. The goal of this campaign is to educate the new administration on the growing threat of Lyme and tick-borne diseases, and urge them to support upcoming Lyme disease initiatives.
Building upon the momentum of our recent Capitol Hill events (see the recap below), this opportunity won’t come again. If you’ve wanted to make an impact for Lyme disease, this is a quick, simple, and free way to make your voice heard. We need all hands on deck.
Once our One Click Politics page is live, we will share it via our website events page and all of our social media outlets. You can then 1. Send a letter in 60 seconds and 2. Share the letter with your friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors—via email, text, and/or social media—asking them to join you. With your support, and just five minutes a day between January 21 and 31, the Lyme community will create a wave of change that cannot be ignored.
Stay tuned for the One Click Politics link, along with pre-made social media graphics and captions to make spreading the word as simple as possible. Thank you for helping us change the course of history for Lyme and tick-borne diseases. Together, we will #MakeLymeLoud !
