News release from NIH on October 10, 2019 announces new NIH Strategic Plan for Tickborne Disease Research. This announcement is good news for patients with the plan focusing on five scientific priorities for advancing research and development over the next five years. The plan builds on the activities of the Department of Health and Human Services Tick-Borne Diseases Working Group, which issued a 2018 report to Congress outlining research recommendations.
